Description
The dining table and chair, designed within the Okomè line by Alias design, embody the essence of an informal dining system enriched by an integrated space.
Their design with soft, organic shapes, inspired by water-smoothed pebbles, conveys a sense of harmony and naturalness. These pieces come together to create a welcoming and contemporary environment, where comfort and elegance blend in perfect harmony.
Prototype
The prototyping process involved the use of plywood, MDF, and fabric, combined with both digital tools and manual craftsmanship.
The components were first drawn in AutoCAD, then cut using a CNC machine for precision. Particular attention was given to the hand-finishing of the parts, especially the chair legs, to refine their shape and smoothness. Once prepared, the elements were fitted with hardware, painted, and finally assembled to form the finished piece, blending technical accuracy with artisanal care.
