Description

Thanks to its two-component design, the H-eic roller shutter introduces an innovative assembly and interlocking system.

Composed of extruded slats and lateral spacers, it offers a perfect balance between visibility, shade, and privacy. When open, the slats allow for a clear view of the outside, creating a bright and airy environment while still providing protection. At the same time, the structural integrity of the shutter is enhanced, ensuring greater durability and stability compared to traditional solutions. The result is a lightweight yet robust design that redefines the aesthetics and functionality of modern roller shutters.

Prototype

The prototype was fabricated using the Sharebot One, with slicing managed through Sharebot Continuum.

The process begins by importing a 3D model into the slicing software, where the necessary toolpaths are generated. Once the program is uploaded to the 3D printer, PLA filament is deposited layer by layer, forming the structure with high precision and durability. Each component was printed individually and later assembled, ensuring perfect alignment and a cohesive final result.
